Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 2026. Your privacy is paramount, which is why we don't save your inputs.
At HomeProject.tools, we believe in extreme user privacy. This privacy policy document outlines the types of information we do (and do not) collect when you visit our website and use our material estimation calculators.
1. Client-Side Processing (No Data Stored)
The core feature of HomeProject.tools is that all calculation equations run entirely in your web browser. When you enter project measurements (such as length, width, thickness, unit systems, or waste allowances), that information is processed locally by client-side JavaScript.
- We do not store your inputs on any web servers.
- We do not write your inputs to any databases.
- We do not transmit your structural layout details over the network.
2. Registration and Personal Profiles
HomeProject.tools is a registration-free utility. You do not need to create a profile, supply an email address, or log in to use any of our estimators. As a result, we hold no personally identifiable information (PII) of our calculator users.
3. Web Server Access Logs
Like most standard website hosting providers (such as Vercel), our hosting platform generates basic access logs when requests are made to static files. These logs contain technical information, such as IP addresses, browser types, and referral paths. We use this information exclusively for troubleshooting server performance, diagnosing site availability, and blocking malicious bots.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use marketing or advertiser tracking cookies. We may use standard browser Local Storage or Session Storage to save calculator preferences (like whether you prefer Metric or Imperial measurements) purely to improve your user experience on subsequent visits. You can clear this preference data at any time by emptying your browser cache.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy statement at any time to align with changes in statutory legal requirements or web regulations. If we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
